over the past 3 months besides coffee (but ofcourse!;) my sole purpose/aim/ goal in life has been to get my teacher thrown out. to put it simply she is useless. and i can respect her if she accepts it.. but she would like to think that she is the sole reason that the sun rises in the east. so we decided to 'educate' her.
so the campaign started. and inevitably we the fashion department became (are) the most hated dept in the damn college. there were disciplinary comittees formed to curb our enthusiam. but what went on during the committee meetings would require another post. there were letters sent home, attandance requirements were increased for our dept alone, (the blame game in the mean while is going on full swing)... blah blah, blah!
hence started the counter campaign. we sent off approx 4 letters to the administrative staff in delhi. and with each letter the language, length, and content changed. drastically at times. we influenced other departments and soon the creative departments had declared war against their teachers.
on tues the administrative head came down from delhi.. and my what an educative experience it has been. to put it simply she fucked the centre heads existence..and the teachers.. and the supportive staff on grounds of harassing the students mentally and emotionally. ;). the centre head has been threatened with legal action, as well as the accountant. since then the fashion students have been given a wide berth by the teachers. our class teacher has changed. we have gotten more respect, infrastructure, and teachers.
more importantly we got justice;)

People from Delhi to throw one nasty person out...you sure can do better than that.Cant you?
Also reminds me of a quote I read sometime and owing to a bad memory, I only paraphrase and not quote verbatim:-
Intolerance to something bad is an indicator of your ignorance and arrogance.
Cheers!
Jyo.
oh the sense of satisfaction.
This is rather refreshing, wish I could head some sort of 'revolution' like this . I guess it depends on how much shit u can take yeah?
I'm so glad u guys decided to do something instead of laying back and taking it.
good on you bali
hope the new teachers have something to offer
Its nature....the more that ppl are supppressed...the harder they hit back...the more drastic the consequences..!its a pity that some ppl learn this the hard way...like ur teacher.
also its only at such times u know what exactly ur capable of(both as an individual and as a team member).that by being proactive ,u can solve atleast some issues that affect ur life rather than sit and crib.
i can totally relate to the 'disciplinary' actions...having experienced it under the admin of anna university...the moral policing and all that crap....but sadly...there is hardly any resistance from the students side(no collective action)......or maybe its the calm before the storm.
anyways....i say 'long live the revolution!' ;)
@jyo: hey.. well we TRIED trust me we did. our level best we tried to tell her she sucks and hence can leave.. but well no avail. so we played the trump card and with what fantastic results!
