we are a family! right.

it really pisses me of when people i dont know act as if they 'know' me. familiarity breeds contempt.. over familiarity.. hatred perhaps? over the past week random people called me by shortened forms of my first name/ surname?? and i wont know their first name.

i think my father can be grouped into this category. he is never at home(thank god for small mercies) to get to know his children. he does not know our age... (and vice versa:) nor does he know what we are doing, yet when there is a need to socialise we are THE happy family. today we had my fathers clients over for lunch and infront of them the acting performance he gave left my brother and me more than a little nauseous(right spelling?).

point is life is freaking short. either u know people or you dont. dont profess to know me, my likes and dislikes, when i dont know you exist.

the family dysfuntional in parts..tell me about it....been there...

i dont get it why ppl will try so hard to put up an image...a projection of a happy relationship in front of others when clearly theres no trace of love left...between them.i've seen it between my mom and dad (and this is the first time...iam writing about it)

it always starts as a small thing...maybe general neglect....but as time passes...it snowballs into total isolation of ideas and relations between the two....and the worst part is only one of them realises this...almost always...so while the other keeps tryin to make up....the other jus keeps gettin farther and farther...hating the previous for being so hollow.and this void becomes unfillable.

but also theres another side to this.....cause ppl(both of them) seek solace elsewhere.and this results in unexpected alliances....in my case (between me and my sis.....since childhood...i ve been away from parents and sis for varying periods of time...so now when mom and dad fight....we stand up together.)

the chasm deepens cause the effort on one side is to keep projecting the right image for the outsiders..(putting outsiders over the affected)..instead of attacking the problem at root...revitalising the dead realtionship.

P.S:tell me if i got carried away.

@ sreicanth: actualy i can relate to the bro sis jodi part of it... my bro and me are a tag team.. 'we ride together we die together';)

as for the rest of it.. as u know im not in love with my family.. so i just back away from evryone.. so basically im like a hostelite in my own house..

i dont think too much about this.. coz then i get angry.. there is no relationship yet the farce continues day in day out.. im like fucking wake up! do something about it.. who the fuck cares what others think?!!

hey.. perspectives are always welcome... hmmm ok i made a choice to isolate them.. yeah i take complete responsibility for my action. every action has an equal and opp reaction. this is mine. and how i could i choose not to be there?? its called family... i did not choose them.. but i chose to isolate them.
