driven

today my brother was telling me that i would be of no use to any sports team.. why? because i lack the aggression, the fighting spirit, and the over all drive to succeed. this really got me thinking.. first of all to prove him wrong and second because i was truly wondering if i lack the drive to succeed..
i guess this would depend on what is success for you right? it differs from indiviual to indiviual. for some its money. others its fame. for some its the numero uno position be it in anything. i realised yeah maybe i do lack the drive to win.. its because i dont think winning is the only thing in life. yeah sure its awesome to win. the euphoria.. the rush.. damn nice. but how long does the satisfaction last?

and if you dont win its not the end of the world either.. i honestly believe that its the process that is more important. the journey more than the destination. cause that is where bonds are forged, lessons are learnt.. its fucking lonely at the top.. and i need people around me more than fame or money.

of course my brother just laughed and went. loser.

Success is leading a life; that you know will be of help to others.
Success is dying peacefully, knowing that you have made a difference in someone else's life.
I guess we all have a purpose in life, they are all different...each one has to find his own...that is what defines success (@least for me)
in btw, have been a little late on the posting..have been quite busy..how are things going for you

'Sucess' is very relative.

Hi I just came across your blog and totally agree with you. The journey matters. No point being "agressive" and "go getterish". I think at the end of the day if you're happy being you, then that's what really matters.

bro's actually getting u to think!! :0
i think ur on the right track...tho u have to put up with things like family and college in the process. I dont see how u lack the drive to work or succeed in the process! if ur willingness to work urself out - stitching and drawing - cant define ur need to be somebody then what can???
(now just as u might seem no good for a sports team acc. to 'da dude!' im sure anything to do with education can suck every inch of that drive, spirit blah blah frm him!)

@ aryapadi: personally im not living my life 2 be of help to others.. but at the same time im not making a mess for others to clean up.. so yea..

iv been ok.. busy stitching. ;) yes the bane of my existence. exams will be coming up so projects blah blah ... are due ;(

@ vysh: hahahaha .'da dude'. is actually doing well in college though he wont tell mum or dad about it. bless his kind soul. mum has ulcers wondering how many arrears he has!haha..

and yeah i guess stitching and drawing could define success.. but i want to do it all on my own terms! ill draw let the tailor stitch ;)

@ j sea: if success is defined in monetary terms then hell yeah. the more you succeed the more the relatives. ;) can relate to this.
