"its just a thought
only a thought.
if my life is for rent
and i dont learn to buy...
well i deserve nothing more than i get,
coz nothing i have is truly mine."
DIDO- Life For Rent.
well i have nothing to say.. the lyrics are self explanatory.. and scary.. it comes to the point of eternal recurrence (Nietszche).. is your life worth living again and again and again..
if you had a choice would you choose 'your' life? sort of like a measure for ones life..
how much is your life worth?

hmm....this is matter of perception i think...cause if i think MY life is not worth living against someone else's ....then what about that someone else wanting to live ur life??
its kinda like the saying...."the grass is always greener on the other side"...but is it really greener...or is it jus an illusion?
i say...'ONE LIFE .LIVE IT'.
(quote courtesy:wearhouse clothing)
cause life's to short to think about such things...so live for the moment.and always try to do what u wanna do and try to be what u wanna be.its all that matters ....that u tried.
cause it dosent matter if right now ur life is not worth much.but its truly bad if u dont take any action to make it better/worhtwhile.
ps:and for the record...each lifes too precious/huge/funny/sad/happy/sick/sunny to be valued.its priceless.
well the point of eternal recurrence is not saying that ur life is worthless... but more like measuring to see that if... if you had a chance to live your life(the way ur living it now) again and again.. would u choose ur life... or...
i personally like this concept... it makes sense... i mean what better way to evaluvate ur life than wondering if you yourself would want to live it again.. hypothtically of course..
its not the grass is greener on the other side kind of a thing.. ;)
ok...got it now (i think so)....
well then...if u consider it from that POV then..the answer will differ from time to time......
if u were feelin very elated/ecstatic at one point of time,
and u asked ur self the question ...the answer would be yes..
while if u were feelin very down/sad.....it would be a No.
but yes...its a good way to evaluate ur life on a very personal level.u get to know ur strengths and weaknesses...the choices u made and the consequences.
P.S: hope i got what ur tryin to say ,right this time!...lemme know
actually u have added a new perspective to the whole thing.. because indiviuals make split decisions based on how they are feeling for that particular moment.. (namely ME!) and yeah different emotions.. for diff occasions/ people...etc.
and thereby ur perspective on life hanges time to time.
personally i think nietszche was talking about life as a whole... and nw that u mention it i dont think life is that simple to simplify it into such a broad category..
like i said u make me think! ;)
p.s: a little late in the day i know... but how was the rock show?? (saarang) ... i kinda expected a post.. ;)
ok hence ,from now on i shall be know as the "make-u-thinker"!!...lol...wow madam...do u think i can money by writing a book about it??....
ok ok..serious now!!
the rock show was good...i didnt imagine that the led zepplica fellows would try so hard to look like the originals...i dint expect it....but they really played good music too....except for some very slow stuff (i hate rock, when its too slow/acoustic kinda thing !)...
parikrama was good..played lots of floyd...(i can tolerate floyd..not a fan)coldplay (i love listening to them )and 3 of their own compositons also
but i dint stay till the end of the show...one of my friends got ill suddenly..(he ate some crap before, had lots of cola apparently)so threw up.we had to leave around 10:30
i got to know the next day that the police came insid the OAT at 11:00 pm...and demanded that the show be stopped cause it was too late in the night.then they jus came and pulled the power supply to the musical equipment.the band was as surprised as the audience.then the organisers came and told the audience the matter after 2-3 mins.the supply was resumed ,but again, hardly 10 secs later, the power supply was cut by cops again, this time permanently.the band got pissed at this and reluctantly left the stage.they were playin stairway to heaven when this happenned.
i would have written a post but, after all this i thot ...what the fuck do i write about ...the music?(i left early),the audience(which was quite bad and unsporting...i was in the front row....some guys kept shouting metallica!,metallica! the whole time.abused the band and all..very sad.)or the cops?...i decided against it.
compared to the rock show ..shankars show was amazing...the music kept us on our toes (we were a bunch of 5 guys....sadly no female company...:( )throughout the show...then there was blazee (the rapper for rahman )and mahalakshmi iyer too belting out pop numbers.we had a teriffic time that night.if u were there...and saw a guy in maroon kurta dancing wildly/doing the bhangra or whatever near the huge screen...that was me!
shite!! i read about the cops coming and stuff in the paper.. and not a person whop went for the show mentioned it... now i know why.. everyone who went left early..
and i didnt know about the lovely audience that we had!! what a bunch of losers!!
and nope i missed the shankar mahadevans show as well... sad i know! but can see you had fun. good for u.
