my teacher says that im too 'kick ass' and dont seem like a 'pink person'. i really donot understand why you need to love chick flicks, skirts and flowers to like pink. i prefer action films. donot like romantic movies. dont own a skirt (dont think a micro mini, which friend gifted, counts;). not crazy about flowers.. or things conventionally girly yet i louve pink. the point isnt what my teacher said or didnt say. its is just that we tend to stereotype people based on their personalities/ musical inclinations/ lifestyle/ dressing. which i think is unfair. no indiviual is entirely black or white. everyone is a mix of the two. and to categorise people into norms/ conventional stereotypes is.. well stupid. simply because in the real world there are no cliches.

yeah...i totally agree abt world around us being in shades of grey..
but yes even i've noticed how easily we (including me sometimes) tend to categorise people.
its stupid but its inherent in most (all?) people.
i think its because we "think" we can 'deal' better with people if we knew what category they belonged to.
however we make those categories by jus skimming thru the surface of a personality....mostly the appearance or public behavior and jump to conclusions...which is crap
ultimately i think ,deep inside we all know how grey the world is, and so we try to 'paint' it a little more black and white....a little more easier to tread.
haha, I like your indignant pout ;-)
well, if pink was for girls, and blue for boys, then why are they selling baby pink oxford shirts in the Lord and Taylor men's department!
give a boot to all conformists girl :-)
i totally agree with u...stereotypes should just be banned!! lol. we all have exceptions...and ppl just shouldnt make general assumptions... even tho we all do all the time...unfortunately!
